Loren Thompson

After working in the engineering industry for many years I joined the firm in 2001 and since qualifying as a solicitor 2 years later have specialised in landlord and tenant law and in particular the law relating to leasehold properties. My working life is entirely dedicated to this area and to continually improving the outcomes for our clients. On a day to day basis I spend much of my time speaking to leaseholders or their representatives, clients and managing agents as well as liaising with the rest of the team within the department. One of my main objectives and one that I instil in our team is to deal with every instruction from a commercial point of view and in a way that will minimise the risk of that particular property owner defaulting again in the future. That may involve litigation but my mind is continually open to taking a pragmatic approach. The devil is in the detail and mastering the detail requires us to continually develop both our legal and procedural knowledge in this very specialist area and of equal importance our understanding of our client’s/their agent’s systems . I strive for a strong working relationship with our clients and their agents, love my role and will always go the extra mile.
